Everybody grows old and we all have to die someday but for now, we want to look and feel good. Looking young may take some effort but feeling young is something we should all strive for.

Most people are not aware that looking older than their actual biological age has a lot to do with what they eat. As mentioned earlier, looking old can be alleviated by external lotions or creams and sure, taking supplements for anti-aging, but feeling old will send you off to an early funeral at the age of 40 if you’re not conscientious about your diet, exercise and lifestyle in general.

Of course you can always take supplements for anti-aging such as vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, liver and kidney cleansers, etc. But remember that these are supplements, not the main meals. Don’t expect supplements to replace the natural vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that you can get from fresh produce, lean meats and wholesome food products to repair cellular damage, strengthen our bones, nails, hair and teeth, boost our immunity system and maintain our overall health.

Factors contributing to fast aging include both internal (hormones) and external factors (environment). Changes in our hormones naturally occur as we age. If we eat the right kinds of food, exercise regularly, live a lifestyle devoid of vices such as excessive alcohol consumption and smoking, we decrease the chance of free radicals invading our bodies, lowering our risks for avoidable medical conditions such as diabetes and certain cancers.

Whether we like it or not, aging impacts on the muscles by deteriorating them after age 30. When your muscles are weakened, you are more susceptible to diseases and injuries. Folate or folic acid, a kind of vitamin B, is the powerhouse that manages cellular health. Spinach and asparagus, for instance, both have high folate content. When cells are healthy, they regrow better and faster, reducing the potential of aging faster than necessary.
